Jake & Sofia? Oh MY! Hot DOG!

If you have kids that are into watching Princess and Pirate shows, and really love anything on Disney Junior (TV), then you'll be excited right along with me.

They are going on tour, along with Doc McStuffins, and I know one little almost-4 year old who is going to scream, get crazy, and probably do a little dance when she hears about this!

And this girl's Mama (me, hee hee) was up late, purchasing tickets to the Fall show! I think I AM more excited than the girls' will be when we tell them!
Yep, Jake and Sofia are coming!
Doc is a side show thing, apparently.

Kyla was really into Jake and the Neverland Pirates last summer and this Fall. In fact, she was an adorable Izzy for Halloween!

"Ahoy, there matey! Let's look for some gold doubloons!"
 (at the zoo, with her witch sissy)
And Princess Sofia? Well, let's just say, this girl calls herself Princess Kyla the First, and has already broken one of Mama's necklaces that she was calling her special "Amulet", just like Sofia wears!
 (*I wish this was released sooner, instead of waiting until July! Our girl would love this for her birthday! You can count on her purchasing one with some birthday money!*)

Here we were, in Duluth, lounging and reading about Sofia!

So yes, I am truly excited to find out what this live show entails for our girls this Fall! You can bet that I'll have plenty of pictures from that upcoming day!

** I should add, I am no way affiliated with Disney, or the tour that is coming. I'm just the Mama of 2 Disney fanatic girls, and am a Disney World/ Disney Land lover as well.  I think it's FUN to enjoy things like this, so by sharing this opportunity, I am no way endorsing it or being paid to do so!**

Puppet Show (*Trip Trap*)

I had to stop at the library the other day. Both girls love to go to the library- to pick out books, DVDs for the car, and of course, the (dirty) toys!
Kyla loves to put on puppet shows. She was making a ton of voices, doing the "troll' and the "billy goats" and Trip Trapping away. Then, I turned on the camera. And it all came to a halt! LOL.
Here's a glimpse of Kyla's pretend play.
She really is a hoot!

She talks, I talk, everybody talks......

Oh, how I love to watch Kyla talk. And talk. And make those silly faces with her mouth/lips as she really enunciates her words. Here is from the other day, when I learned she was playing Power Girl and Power Boy at daycare.
To say she is a Drama Girl is truly an understatement.

Just a swinging...(and chatting and silly faces....)

Confused by the sideways picture? I was, too. Then I began to really look at the pictures I had on my Iphone camera roll. Um, hello, Keifer. I didn't realize you had taken OVER my phone's camera roll and took pictures and video taped yourself making silly faces and telling tall tales. Oh, she is a hoot! Enjoy our Keifer girl and all her silliness on display!
I love her upside down self-portraits! So creative! (thank goodness I didn't know she had my phone, I wouldn't have let her get all loosey-goosey with the phone! Egads!)

I like that she mentions Alabama (?? say what ??) and how she "just got home from Disney". Yeah, that was over a year ago, toots. LOL.

Wordless Wednesday: Annie, are OK? Are you OK, Annie? (Smooth Criminal)

Don't ask. I cannot get the song out of my head the minute I see this picture of Princess Kyla, dressed up in her new outfit, complete with her friend's Fedora on her head.

TGIF- Odds and Ends

An eclectic collection of pictures from here and there.

Below, sissies in K2's bed; can you tell it was Daddy's turn to put K2 down? :)
 Papa's biggest fan: Tboy.  Treble is insane about Papa!
 K2 playing with the collection of cars that Nana Di put out last month in Duluth.
 Daddy's favorite helpers (er, shadows?)  Doing work in the garage......
  Kyla forgot her pants! She thinks tights should be considered pants! LOL
 This girl loves her ICarly shirt she rec'ed for her birthday!
 Date with daddy!  LUNCH!
 Kyla dragged all these chairs into the house for a birthday party for her baby....
 ...we even got to sing to Cindy (Cinderella baby)!  Complete with (notice) tablecloth (blanket) and a miniature candle from the dollhouse!

"hi, honey" (*mwah mwah*)

Introducing the talented Miss Kyla, who LOVE LOVE LOVES to pretend play with "people" aka Little People. She loves to take any "people", some Barbies and the infamous Annie doll (that Papa Dale got off Ebay a few years ago!) and have them talk to each other. It's quite adorable to hear this tiny little voice directing "People" around. "honey, honey", I hear and wonder if she's talking to ME or the people.
I also hear "C'mon, honey", or "Mwah mwah" sounds, as she has her people give each other smooches. Yes, melt those heartstrings!
To make things especially cute, I found the "people" in these places in the dollhouses a few nights back. One person sleeping in the crib.
And a few more people watching as the blond "people" tap dance on their dining room table! How cute! LOL

My future's so bright........

Shades in the house- inside the fort that Keifer made all on her own. Babies, purses, cash registers and sunglasses. Nothing better.
Kyla would NOT take the sunglasses off for quite some time upon arrival at Auntie and Uncle's house last weekend.
She also (surprise, surprise), refused to take her shoes off. Fashion diva!

Keifer's observations:

A few weeks ago on American Idol, Keifer's favorite pick, Haley, wore a dress that really impressed her. She had fallen asleep on the couch next to me while waiting for Haley to perform: I nudged her when Haley came out, and the first thing K1 said was, "Haley's really rocking out!". Then, as she sat and watched Haley sing for about a minute, she then observed that "Haley's dress looks just like the toucan at Papa and Nana's house."
Um, what? Yep, the girl has some wondrous observation skills:

See the picture? and then compare it to Haley's dress below in the video: My girl has some keen eyes, huh?

In other Keifer musings, she was telling me about her fear of any and all bugs. Yes, she is deathly afraid of bugs, even ones just sitting on a sidewalk! Poor girl. So we mentioned mosquitoes and she told me she was so scared of them, and did I know that mosquitoes also live in India?? I asked her how she knew that, and she replied, "Elaine told me!".

Speaking of India, she also introduced one of her blonde Barbies to me in play, telling me her name and that she was from India. I asked her some basic questions, one being what was her Barbie-from-India's favorite food? Mexican. Of course!

~~~~~~
One morning, my voice was froggy after sleeping all night and having been blessed with allergies. Apparently, I didn't sound just right to Keifer, because she stepped back from me and said, "Mom, your voice sounds.....dirty!"
~~~~~~~

I was eating cornflakes one morning, when Keifer asked for a bite. She liked them, and so she said to me as I was walking into the kitchen, "Mom, I sure like those snowflakes, can you get me a batch?" *giggle*

~~~~~~
And , nothing like the honest truth from children's mouths. I was getting Keifer dressed one morning. She started sniffing at my face, wrinkled her nose, and asked me "Mom, are you wearing your mask?" (she often seems me wear my Proactiv Mask and will smell it, as it is a really smelly mask).
I told her no, I wasn't wearing a mask.
She points to my forehead, and says, "well, what is all that shiny stuff there?".
That, my dear, is greasy morning face. Thanks for pointing that out! HA!
New digs for the B-doll
What is Papa Dale doing, on this Sunday of Keifer's birthday, with Keifer's assistance? Why, he's working very hard on constructing her new birthday gift! A new Doll house!
By far, Keifer's very favorite Birthday gift this year has been this new dollhouse - MANSION! She has just been getting interested in Barbies, and a few months ago, she commented to me that poor Barbie had grass in her hair, because she didn't fit in the other house we have, and so she had to sleep in the grass! Along the way, there have other small comments about Barbie not fitting in the house and sleeping in her car, etc. etc. so I finally told my mom that Barbie NEEDED a new home, to put Keifer's mind at ease. And I must tell you, her comments were not done out of WANTING a new home- she had no idea a bigger house even existed! If you could've heard the squeals when she opened this house up!! Oye! JOY! Both Keifer and Kyla have had many hours of fun walking their Barbies (and her new Ken from Auntie Barbara) around the house, and Kyla has even let a few Little People join their festivities! The completed product- and I have to say, putting up with Papa Dale's swearing and grunting and irritability was worth it all for the 2 hours Sunday AM he put it together, with Keifer's "help" *giggle*
"come back, there's a wolf out there"
The girls love to play together inside their Princess tent that was a hand-me-down/Christmas gift from cousin Abby. In and out they go, and it's a lot of fun to listen to what Keifer has to tell Kyla in the privacy of this tent.
In this video, she was warning Kyla that there is a WOLF out there! LOL I love it.
Baby, baby - how K2 loves her baby!
Eat, baby. Here's your bottle.
Kyla loves to feed and hold and push her babies around in her stroller. The baby in the pictures here are the ones she loved on PRIOR TO Nana Dian coming this past weekend and gifting her with a NEW baby! Oh, boy, watch out, old babies. The NEW baby is the object of K2's affections now!
Posing with baby on the steps. So much love for her little ones.
See the baby??? Watch this!
Into the sink she goes- for a bath!! And a snack (as she pretends to pour milk into a bowl and sticks the bowl into babies face!)
All done! Just fine!
Last night, Kyla was pushing her new baby around in the stroller, talking to her and asking her questions none of us could decipher ("Kyla talk"). I told Kyla it was time for her bath. She took baby out of her stroller and climbed up stairs, so I let her take baby into the tub.
She pretended to wash her baby, all on her own, with a washcloth, and poor baby had her face under the water for quite some time (eek). After the bath, we wrapped baby in a towel, similar to Kyla, and as I clipped Kyla's toe nails, she held out her baby's foot , saying "toes, cut, toes, cut". So I clipped baby toes as well. Then, she brushed her baby's teeth, just like she brushed her own!
It still amazes me how much our little ones pick up and how their mothering to little wee ones is just as warm and loving as ours is to them. Kyla had my heart fluttering with her little mothering, and watching her take care of her baby was so sweet *sigh*.
Wordless Wednesday: Silly girls, just because
No real reason for these pictures. Kyla had mama's socks on. Keifer insisted I take a pic of her with one of her (many) pretend phones.
Night night, dolly
Last month, Kyla was playing w/the girls' dollhouse, when she took the fairy Barbie and put her to sleep, all on her own.I heard her saying "night, night" and when I looked, she had set up this mini-bed for Barbie. I thought she did a pretty good job at 19 months, figuring out what to put together (furniture wise) to make a bed for that long (giant in the house) Barbie! :)
That's not a box, it's a .....
Just a smattering of pictures from the past weekend and week of the girls doing what they do best: playing together!
I took home a few boxes from work last week and you know what they say: forget toys, get a box! I tell you, we could/should have just a living room full of boxes, because that's all the girls want to be playing with!
Daddy gives awesome rides in the box! I tried so hard to get a clip of him pushing/pulling them (the girls' belly laughs were the best.thing.ever. to listen to, but alas, Kyla stopped when I turned on record, of course)
Jack-in-the-Box x 2!
Pure, unadulterated joy
My favorite
And a few more pictures from the other day. I found the girls dragging blankets around the house (oh, so sanitary, yes), and finally choosing to camp out in front of the dishwasher. You see those headbands around Kyla's neck? Ahh, yes, the headband and hair clip obsession has already hit her. LOL
Later on, they decided books were a good choice of things to do. They (ALL ON THEIR OWN!) picked their own books and sat on the couch and read to themselves!!!
Yes, Mommy got a little excited there! LOL. I am oh-so happy to be developing readers in the house! You all know how much I adore reading, and to know and witness just how much joy books bring my girls; well, it makes me smile with pure joy!
