Future ballad singer?

This was Kyla's birthday gift from Mama and Daddy -but Keifer quickly took it over!  While Kyla played happily with her new Barbies.......Keifer made mama cry. Here she is singing one of her favorite Ballads from the first season of Glee:   Defying Gravity-from the Wicked Soundtrack, but sung by Kurt and Rachel! Yep, she wants to be just like Rachel!

How to Make a Personal Pizza Narrative

First, gather your good friends, your younger sister, and make sure your Dad went to Papa Murphy's-where they sell the personal "mini" pizzas, in a really cool box and with a really cool tattoo!
Make sure your Mama has a camera, because she's geeky like that!
Spread the sauce!
Add the meatballs or sausage to the toppings....
Use all the cheese they give you in the little cup
Try to make sure the cheese hits the top of the pizza
 After it cooks, ENJOY!
Share the good eats with a good friend.  I will tell you: all 3girls devoured their personal pizzas!
**We were not compensated at all for promoting the Mini Murph pizzas - I just did this blog post because my girls LOVE THEM!**

A little bit of this, a little bit of that......

Keifer in one of her birthday gifts- a new Princess Purple dress, complete with her add-on fairy wings (thanks to the $1 section at La Target boutique)
Love my Tboy sitting next to her bar stool! (sigh)
Kyla girl, wearing her infamous (around these parts) "pink dress" aka her leotard that I got at a consignment sale with her for a crazy $2! Best money I ever spent- the girl wants to live in this pink leotard -she thinks the skirt (tulle part) is "a dress!" She cries when this goes into the wash! LOL
Last week, before we left for work and daycare, Mama & her first born: both in stripes and both in a new JEAN SKIRT! I was so excited to find one I actually LIKED-at the Gap- and I had $$ to spend there (thanks to burning up my Gap card)
We should've picked a better place to pose, other than the laundry /mud room!

Kyla's 3rd SWIM party!

The SAME DAY as the below mentioned Family, Fitness and Fun Fair, it was Kyla's 3rd birthday! Yes, folks, THREE YEARS OLD! I know, I know, where in the heck did three years go? I wish I knew. In my mind, she's still my little, tiny baby girl, who is not old enough to be told "you need to pee and poop in the potty!"   (*and yes, it was quite the busy day, with the Fair in the morning, but we tried to nap the best we could, and of course, Mama is the only one who managed to nap! LOL. We had the party at 4:30, which gave us SOME TIME to prep!*)

The girl had been pumped up about her birthday for about a month, as her older sissy's birthday was in April. Ever since we finished K1's birthday party, Kyla has been talking non-stop at home about HER upcoming swim party. And boy, was she excited.

Earlier in the week, to prepare for the party, I took my girl to the store to pick out her cake for the party:
She initially wanted an Aerial (Little Mermaid) cake, but once she saw the Princess cake, her mind was made up: it was the below cake for her. And when given the taste choices, the minute "Marble" was said, she piped up, "MARBLE! MARBLE! I want a marble cake!".  I will say, it was delicious! And I insist on ONLY ordering whipped cream frosting! It doesn't hurt my teeth as much! LOL

For our 3 year old's guest list, she invited her daycare friends, and a few friends from our old and new neighborhoods, along with her family (of course!)
I'll let you in on a secret: that "3" candle? I saved it from when K1 was 3, and it was intact until K1 carried it INTO the hotel for the party, and snap. It broke. So we taped it up. Nothing wrong with it then, right!
Older sissy was quite excited for K2!
And yes, Mama did splurge on another swim suit for K2. As if they don't have enough. Can I HELP IT if I adore girls' swim suits? They are just too cute! And she has a matching hat for this suit, just sayin'...
Kyla and her good friend, since birth!, Little Goat! Taking turns on the slippery slide! This was done about a hundred or so times!
And yes, my girl loves her tattoos!
K1 and her good friend from our new neighborhood
I can't tell you HOW SWEET it was to see K2,K1, and ALL their little friends sitting around the table, quietly (yes, no sounds!) eating pizza, fruit and veggies, as the parents stood or sat and monitored!

What awesome friends my girls have!
After eating, K2 and Little Goat was not quiet in their attempts to communicate what they wanted: INTO THE POOL AREA!
Let us in, let us in!
The next day, Kyla was quite the QUIET girl, playing with her 2 new Barbie dolls, and then napping for 4 (yes, I said 4) hours straight! She was so exhausted from running, splashing and sliding for a solid 4 hours Saturday night and then an hour on Sunday morning. Keifer actually CRIED when we left the hotel for home!

What an amazing birthday party our girl had. We couldn't have asked for a better turn out and so much fun was had by all the kids! Another amazing party, and Mama is still sad at how fast it seemed to go by!

Family, Fitness and FUN!

A few weeks ago, on K2's birthday DAY actually, the Elementary School I work within had their First Annual Family, Fitness and Food Fair.  How fun! They had so many fun activities planned for the community as well as inside the school, so I signed up to promote my new side business as part of the "Health" aspect.

The girls, along with my parents, tagged along to have FUN and enjoy the free activities for families!  Keifer and Kyla are shown below in the video, with Keifer SHAKING HER LITTLE BOOTY ABOUT to the sounds/songs of the Teddy Bear Band, a band that is busy performing for families all the over the MN state.

Enjoy our K1: just look at that concentration as she twists! LOL

Below are a few pictures of Keifer and Kyla, along with their pal Maz, trying out the school's rock climbing wall!

Who doesn't enjoy a Bouncy Jump House? You can see my Mom (Nana) on the right side, light green shirt, watching my girls. Mama packed socks especially for this activity!

"Shake your groove thang, shake your groove thang, yeah yeah"
Doing the Hokey Pokey!

Keifer was first in line behind the Teddy Bear in the "Teddy Bear Parade!"

Afterwards, Nana & Keifer BOTH enjoyed a free chair massage!
How many 5 year olds do you know who LOVE massages? A girl after her Mama's heart!

And below is ME, and my good friend Nicole, displaying our Shaklee Table!  We had a lot of interest in what exactly we are, and it was so much fun to learn from Nicole how to explain to people exactly what we do and have to help YOU within your homes- how to save money and get healthy!
The hit of the day, as it was so hot, was the Orange flavored Performance Re-hydration drink. What a yummy treat- safe for adults, kids and pets! :)

Three Years Ago.....

...Three Years Ago this past weekend, we had our Kyla enter the world a month and a week too early.  She was a big surprise with her timing, but we couldn't have been more blessed! MANY pictures and stories to come, including her updated stats (we had her 3 year check up today).  She is growing like she should, following her curve, and changing every day.
We had a fun birthday party with mostly just her daycare friends, and a few close neighbors, that was a hit with all that came.  She is still telling everyone she meets about her swim party. We also got to see family members and cried when they left.
Mama is insanely busy at work- 2 more weeks of kids, and then one week of meetings, paperwork galore, and packing up for yet another building move....so forgive my lack of pictures and blogging yet again....yes, I seem to go in streaks. I have the STORIES up in my head, but the time, well, it just is NOT on my side these days!

More soon!

Papa & Nana Visit - April

A few scattered pictures, of here and there with my parents a few weeks ago!

Papa & K1 in the early AM: so happy to have her Papa visiting and eating our Mickey Mouse pancakes with us!
Sissy was not awake enough to be happy!
Kyla at church, coloring in the aisles as we listened.
Their favorite time: after church means snacks! Kyla and her loves
I was having an emotional week at work, so my Mom bought me some of my favorite flowers: tulips! How perfect! I put in the two roses from my friend, Roz! :)
