the day is coming....

It seems as though I was just here, blogging about the sadness (yet excitement) I was feeling, as our miracle girl was turning one year old. Now, this Friday, she is turning two years old! TWO! How did this happen? Where did the time go? It is true that the older you get (and your family), the faster time goes. *sigh*.

I am on spring break this week, so I am resting up for the big day this coming Saturday. Last year, we had a friends and family party, and it was fantastic. This year, because K's bday falls on Easter weekend, we decided to just do family, as many friends will be out of town, and well, it's a holiday. We booked some rooms at a local hotel that is fairly new, and has a wonderful zero-depth entry pool, designed just for kids to have fun! Since K loves swimming, and Elmo, of course, we're making it her 'swim party" with Elmo.

The Elmo cake is ordered, I got the tablecloth and napkins, and my friend Jen sent me a fantastic "blow up" Elmo that she used for her daughter's birthday. We have a pool side room, so we're just doing pizza and munchies, and cake. Nothing too exciting. I will admit, it was very hard for me to "tone it down", as I love to party plan all the details. However, it'll be just great! We'll have Nanas and Papas, aunts and uncles and K's beloved cousins, including Aubrie who she rarely sees! Fun fun fun!

Much thanks to my wonderful friend, Taryn, who whipped these invites up for me. She is extremely talented! I love them and all her work! Thanks, girl!

I can't believe Keifer will soon be two. I've been reading your blog for a long time... I feel like I know Keifer even though I've never met either of you. So many of your recommendations I've used for Bo and I've always enjoyed hearing what Keifer is up to so I can know what to expect in the future. She is a ball of fire and I am so glad that you've chosen to share your life and her story with so many of us in the blogosphere. :)

Your Elmo party sounds absolutely fabulous! I can't wait to see pictures!! :)

I just laughed when I saw this post because Kylie's cake and decorations are going to be Elmo too. A family swim party sounds just awesome.
